My favorite bag tea
My friends at work tease me because I have an entire desk drawer dedicated to tea. I love my tea. I almost exclusively drink loose leaf tea. I love the taste and the ritual. But sometimes I don't feel like taking the time to prepare a pot of loose leaf tea, so I "settle" for a tea bag.PG Tips really isn't a compromise for me though. I love PG Tips. It's a great blend of black teas. The taste is great and the bag is convenient.It's not completely accurate to call this a "bag" though, because it's a pyramid. The water flows through the pyramid very nicely. There's no string to take it out with though. That's OK. Use a spoon or let it continue to steep while you drink it.Excellent black tea blend!

Great Classic English Tea
I'm normally a strictly loose leaf tea snob but I can't get enough of PG Tips. It's the classic British breakfast tea with the faint muscatel notes found in higher end indian teas. A splash of milk and a dash of sugar to top off, this is how I start each day. Be careful with steeping, if left too long this tea becomes extremely bitter and un-drinkable (unless of course that's your thing!).

What can I say - I love this tea
A native Brit - I am addicted to my PG tips. So, now that I am living in the US I am committed to buying it online. The tea is full-bodied and so flavorful. I brew it straight in my tea mug by pouring boiling water from my electric kettle straight onto the tea bag and let it steep for about a minute. It is strong enough for me by then and then I add my reduced-fat (2%) milk to reach a color akin to pale pine flooring. Drink it piping hot and its a fantastic morning pick-me-up. I prefer to buy it in packs of 40 to keep it fresh but the price on the 80s was hard to pass.

Excellent all around tea
We drink a lot of tea in this house, and after trying many other basic black teas have settled on this as the best one all around. For the first pot in the morning to the iced tea later in the day, this is the one we all (four tea-drinkers) prefer.It is robust without being bitter, does not develop a stewed flavor after sitting in the pot for an hour or so, and is very even in quality from batch to batch.

The Only Tea You Need
The flavor of this tea is strong and bold without tasting bitter. PG Tips is the best tea I've ever tasted and I've been drinking it for over 10 years! I'm glad that Amazon.com is selling it because it's definitely more expensive if you buy from those specialty tea shops. Everyone that I've introduced this to loves it. Full-Flavored Tea for Daily Use
I have always enjoyed tea, but I started drinking it regularly when I lived in England during college. The school I went to served PG Tips, and once I returned to the United States, I could not find anything dark enough for me. Eventually, I found it in a store in NYC but then had to order more from an online import retailer. When we got a World Market in my city, I was able to buy it there. Happy with this purchase
I just purchased this tea because I was looking for a simple, inexpensive, and great tasting black tea. I read the other reviews for PG tips (which were great) so I bought some. So the outcome?It's excellent. It steeps very quickly and has a nice strong taste. My mother (at first) noticed that the teabags didn't have strings and said something to the effect of "yeah usually if the tea is of cheaper quality it doesn't have strings..." or something weird like that. Lets just say she quickly got over that and she now makes this tea constantly. Highly recommended for an inexpensive black tea. Lets just say the brits know their tea!

Robust tea flavor. Very happy with it.
I actually bought a small box of this tea just to try it out. I used it for a few weeks and thought "That was good, but nothing special." But after 2 weeks of being back on my old tea, I miss it. So I'm buying some more. :) My normal US tea is Newmans Organic or Luzianne, so that's all I have to compare it to.Note: Each PG bag has about 2 times the weight of tea that 1 bag of a US tea bag has. Or put another way, 2 PG bags equal 1 "family" bag of US tea. So while it looks more expensive, in the long run it's not really. In fact, I can make a full gallon of ice tea with just 8 of these bags. So the price is about the same or better, and the tea tastes better in my opinion.

1150 or 240 that is the question!
C. Rust is correct, the bags do contain a little less tea as they are designed for those who make tea by the cup instead of the pot, something (shock horror :^) the British have begun to do more often. We also discovered this when we first brought back several of these bags from Costco in Manchester England. I too wondered if it was worth it as it does take 3 to make a pot whereas the 240 count box size only takes 2 so I did the math and found that it was still worth it to get the 1150 bags. I just did the math again using the US price on Amazon (yes, we are running out and no trip to the UK in the near future) and it is still cheaper to buy the bag of 1150 bags versus the box of 240 bags.The box of 240 is $0.77/oz based on the weight of the tea in the box. The bag of 1150 is $0.55/oz. But even if you just do the math with the number of tea bags used it is still cheaper. The box of 240 at $19.95 a box is $0.08/bag or $0.16 a pot if you use two bags a pot. The bag of...

Wonderful tea
However, I find it takes 3 bags to make a six cup pot of golden tea instead of the 2 bags I've used previously that come in the boxes. I'm guessing that they packaged this large bag for restaurant use, and decided to put less tea in each bag. The tea is still delicious, but it's probably more economical to buy it in the 160 or 240 count boxes.

I like PG Tips Tea
I bought this 1150-count bag and have no complaints. The price was right, because 1150 / $50 comes out to less than five cents per bag, which compares favorably against almost any other brand of tea, let alone PG Tips, which I find superior to most other brands. I do not perceive any difference in the amount of tea per teabag in this container as compared to smaller sizes that I purchased from Fresh Market. The container is just a normal thin papery bag, not resealable without a clothespin or other device, and I intend to relocate the teabags to an airtight container so they will stay fresh. I drink at least a pot of tea everyday, consuming 3 to 6 bags per day, so this bag will be used up in a year's time. But even so, it is a good idea to protect the teabags from oxygen. Any type of plant matter will decompose in the presence of heat, oxygen or light--doesn't matter whether it is tea, coffee or cannabis.

Don't start your day without it
I would be lost without a source for PG Tips pyramid teabags.This is good, everyday tea for a strong, near-lifesaving cuppa.Don't buy it expecting a gourmet experience (this tea doesn't come in wild ginger or peach flavours). The BEST tea
I have been drinking hot tea since childhood, which is a fairly common thing for children in rural Maine. I've been faithful to Red Rose for years, until a British co-worker introduced me to PG Tips.
