Great little refrigerator
Exactly what I needed for an efficiency apartment that I added onto my home for my mother. It holds her drinks and snacks, which is very convenient for her, and is bigger than those tiny little dorm units. Anyway, it works great and is, thankfully, quiet. Don't know if I was just lucky or not, but it was delivered very quickly! I would recommend this for anyone who needs a small refrigerator.

Perfect for college life
I have purchased this refrigerator 1 month ago and it's working perfectly so far. It suits my small dorm room and is so far great for a college student needs. However, its operation sound is a bit high. It can be annoying at times but that's normal I guess for most refrigerators.

This is a very good product I've had for a while. The freezer part is small but it works for tv dinners and ice cream it even freezes ice cubes. I really like it. You don't have to defrost very often either and it keeps beverages very cold I'm glad I bought it

Haier mini-freezer
I needed a small freezer for storing excess frozen blueberries from a bulk purchase so after researching different makes and models, I finally decided to purchase the Haier mini-freezer from Amazon. Amazon offered free shipping and the price of the unit was $20 cheaper than my local walmart and target. It was very good customer service for Fedex sending two employees to deliver the mini-freezer so it arrived in excellent condition even though the way the mini-freezer was packaged from Haier was the worst I've ever encountered. There was absolutely no foam or packing material to protect the unit and after cutting one plastic strap the card board box fell apart. After inspecting the unit for damage, I found one small dent near the top-right of the freezer door (See the images that I've posted above). I proceeded to follow the instruction booklet and plugged it in. I filled the mini-ice tray (Included with the unit) with water and left it in the freezer. Two hours later I...

great item
I bought this item for camping, as we can never keep anything cold for the ten days we go. It's nice and small, holds alot of food, it got so cold that we had to leave the ice cream out for a bit to get a spoon into it. It would be a great item for the house to buy food in bulk, it did not freeze up inside or cause any cold burns on food. I would buy this item again, good price with Amazon.com about $140.00 cheaper than going local.

Haier mini-freezer
This is a nice little freezer, but as with the other reviewers, it arrived damaged. It has a crease-like dent on the right side where it will not be seen, but if it was packaged a little better, that could be avoided. So far it runs fine and is very quiet. Being as I have very little extra room in my kitchen, this will serve my needs for extra freezer space to be able to take advantage of sales. I took away one star for the packaging.

A Good Value and Very Convenient
I bought this freezer because my refrigerator is apartment sized and doesn't have a very large freezer. Furthermore, most of what space the freezer in my fridge does have is taken up by the ice maker (I don't know why refrigerator manufacturers can't design ice makers to use freezer space more efficiently than they currently do).The 3.5 cu ft size is actually a little larger than I really need (although it's still very compact, takes up little space and is a good size for an apartment) but Haier's only smaller freezer currently is 1.3 cu ft and was simply too small for me (although it may be a perfect size for some others). Unless you are absolutely certain of what size you want and before making your purchase, I would recommend trying to find the various small freezer sizes on display in an brick/mortar store if possible so that you can get a better idea of what their actual size looks like for real.I finally did that simply because I found it tough to get an...

A good buy
A good buy that is, if you buy it locally. The Amazon price is ridiculous. It can be had for no more than $200 all over the place. Anyway, it is a great product, just wish it were self defrosting. For a small family it is a perfect size, fits in a small area.

Descent Priced product - but GE dropped one feature (details hidden in the model #)
We purchased the FCM5SUWW based on a trip to a local store and found out when we unpackaged ours that GE has pulled a fast one. The model in the store had the same model number but when you look at the actual freezer name plate on the back it has an extra letter in the model number. The model we purchased is the FCM5SUCWW and the display was model FCM5SUBWW a previous revision with the same package model number. GE has revised the model numbers and left the base order model number in the generic form so they can change production at any time. The difference between the 'B' and the 'C' model revision is the small vertical divider that is used to keep items from falling off the internal step above the compressor. This is listed in the parts diagram for previous models and was eliminated in the 'C' and newer revisions. We wish we had this information prior to putting it in service as we had another choice but food was thawing so we decided to keep it.After initial...

Decent purchase, worth the money
The freezer chest looks small and does not take a lot of space. It maintains temperature and is very convenient to use.It is great for a family of 4-6 people. Fits all my Costco purchases, easy for children to open and pull out the pizza.I would only change one thing in this chest: I would make the lid "slow-close".Overall it is a great item for the price.

Awesome little refrigerator that works better than the rest
I am a research buff and read over 300 reviews on refrigerators. I wanted one at work to keep my drinks and food cold. Many reviews stated that this unit does not get cold enough. I beg to differ. This refrigerator gets colder than I can keep it. I have to lower the temp to a lower setting so my drinks won't freeze. I really like this unit a lot. It is small enough to hide under my desk and even behind my desk in the corner. No one really knows that I have one at work. I am well pleased with this unit and the maker is a well known brand overall. Danby is the maker and I will buy another one from them soon.

Useful only if you know what you are getting
Danby may make nice refrigerators, and price-wise, their strongest competition seems to be Haier and Avanti, especially for compact fridge for use in dorm/offices.Now, my previous personal fridge was a Haier which lasted for a good 2 1/2 years, but it suddenly died one day and I needed a quick replacement. I used it primarily for storing drinks and snacks, so I didn't need one that was "freezing" cold.I did my fair share of research, and landed on this deal directly from amazon.The problem with getting compact fridges shipped is the packaging. Note, this unit essentially has none, aside for a half inch thin "padding" of styrofoam on each side. It is shipped directly in its retail package, and a lot of people have noted that some shipped fridges arrive DOA due to the damage during shipping, so my suggestion is to reduce time it takes to ship as much as your budget allows. Mediocre microwave
This is overall a mediocre microwave. I read the reviews that warned of the problems described below but went ahead with the purchase because of the size and price. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, but it's really only for tiny studio apartments like mine. If you have space, I'd recommend going with a larger microwave.Pros: Very small so it fits great in my tiny studio apartment. Buttons and door work fine. Good kitchen timer.Cons: Very low power so microwave times are longer than normal. At times heats items unevenly (top will be cooked while bottom will be frozen). Internal tray rotates, but microwave is so small that normal sized plates or square plates will bump into the walls and stop the rotation.
